I tried to patch with the daemon tools and i cant get it to work
i'm i doing something wrong.I used clone to write to the hard drive patched with tools .burned to a cd installed the cow made sure it was running still no luck. need alittle help.

Read the readme file that comes with Daemon.

Daemon doesn't patch anything.....it is an emulator. i.e. it must be running and have emulation (safedisc for Max Payne) enabled.

Also, Max Payne ver 1.01 blacklists daemon tools ver 2.74 backwards so update to the new version 2.79

in future, once you've created your image from CloneCD, mount it with Daemon tools and play away...no need to patch/crack the image at all, or have emulation running. Daemon tools is a great prog for playing game images with...no cd or patch needed.
Also, in future, please give more info e.g. versions of progs you mention and your burner. This gives us a better chance of correcting any probs you have.

Or did you mean Playbackup? If you did then uninstall it as it's blacklisted by safedisc version running on Max Payne. use Daemon ver 2.79

why would u want to emulate copy protections, or keep copy protections at all! max payne no cd v1.01 !!

game will load faster, game will actually work faster too, and u dont need to fumble around with the cd or keep a 700mb image on your hard drive..

you guys are NUTS!
