diablo 2 AGAIN

ok i install diablo 2....install the expansion....run the 1.08 patch...get the game.exe from razor....replace it with that file....put the d2music.mpq from CD 2 and d2xvideo.mpq from LOD....try to play the game and it STILL doesnt work...i've read EVERY single diablo 2 post on this thing and done what they suggested....the only thing i can think of is i'm doing the right things in the wrong order

i dont want to play it online...just the smelly 1 player....all i need is the fix.exe right? if i need a different file to download pls tell me exactly which one it is...thanks in advance
