diablo help needed please

i have just gotten the game to work and need a working nocd hack for 1.08 that has been tested and works and that does not require copying files off the cd but if it does please tell me exactly how to copy the files off the cd.

You must copy files to your hard drive in order to have a nocd patch. Explore your CD for a file called D2music.mpq and send it to your game directory. All diablo nocd patches will require you to do this. As far as having a working nocd patch it will be trial and error for now until all the bugs have been worked out. Darwin should have the newest one posted by tomorrow.

that is the thing i have a burned copy and i can not get the file off with out freezing up the computer and the file is than messed up, do i need the original game to get files off the cd?

All that means is that your copy is corrupt.

but i can play the game but it goes to slow in my cd burner so i must put it on the hd and i would like to know the easiest way to put it on the hd that works.

There's no way to play D2 with a No-CD patch unless you copy some files off the CD first. There are some games where this isn't so, but with Diablo II it is. If the game loads very slow, and stuff copies over very slow, either your CD is burned weird or your drive is slow.

And, just a little tip .. CD-R/RW drives were built to burn CDs, with the laser going in one slow motion. Using them as CD-ROM drives really wears them down. Trust me, I'm on my third CD-RW because of that.

Not one crack on gcw worked for D2: LOD for me. Its a purchased copy as is my origenal D2 cds. I tried using the nocd cracks in a attempt to stop having to the the gay cd in. Iv copyied the files and such, the same way to get D2 working without the cd. So i went on cracking it myself, it worked. Gave the crack to my cousin, It DIDNT work only CRASHED. Puzzled, i removed the cd protection on his machine and it work. Tried it on another and CRASHED again. Either iv missed something or 15 of us are going through a bad time? Darwin perhap you can coment?

Well, then you need to copy the only big MPQ on the disc.
Without MPQ it won't work. (The HD install is only some megabyte big, nearly the whole game is loaded from CD).

So you have to get it from somewhere else.
