CloneCD and Savedisc2

I've got TEAC512...-CDRW, which is full CCD-compatible., but even when i choose subchannel reading and DAO_RAW i can't copy Savedisc2-CD's (F1RC, B&W..). The CD is copied but when I ####t the game nothing happens for a while except the drive reading the cdrom and then i get an windows error and have to close the application .

Any help with this?

mine did that with operation flashpoint. It cant copy some data for the ####tup so you need to crack

Apparently the new 24x Plextor can copy Safedisc2 games according to the author of CloneCD.

Yes, I got the same burning unit. PC Welt also told that the TeacW512EB is raw-mode and fully cloneCD-compatible.

The truth is that the Teac-W512EB is not able to do duplicate safedisc2 perfectly. (Even BlindRead/Write_Suits sucks).

Teac-R55S (best burner ever besides the plexwriters) is able to run the W-512EB-copies anyway.

@everybody. Does anyone know if an firmware DOWNGRADE fixes this problem?! Or could anyone tell me, if the Mitsumi TE-4808-unit is able to duplicate safedisc 2 (even the "new" version) perfectly.

try grabbing a "no cd" fix from megagames.com (I believe).. clonecd gets past the safedisc 1 protection yes, but so far doesn't get past the safedisc 2 protection. the "no cd" patch will patch your .exe on your hard drive and you should (note the magical word "should") be able to run the game. This happened to me also, I couldn't play the game until I patched my .exe

Really noone knows wether a lower firmware (which) does make it on the Teac512?

Sloooow Burn!!! That's the trick with SafeDisc 2. You can do a fast read, but you need a slow burn. Nothing more than 2x.

CloneCD can copy ANYTHING!! Since versions 2.8.2.3 I have been burning SD2 Games with a HP burner...it shouldn't work but it does. I'm replacing it with a Acer 1208a with a 4meg buffer so I will continue to have success. I'm currently using CloneCD 3.0.5.1.

I burned my, Black&White in x8 speed, the copy works perfects. While Dune Emperor, installs fine but will only pass the decryption with my ordos cd. I´ve even tried burning one of the other house disks in x1-2 snail speed, but noticed no difference. And can´t get those backups to work, I suspect that the CD media-dye, might have a finger in this.

Well, I have a HP 9500i Drive and I wasn't able to copy American Mcgee's Alice, I'm new at this, but I'm getting the same error as the other guys, it copies, but when I try to run, I receive an error. The copy was made with Clone CD 2.8.5.2 and using a Daemon it works perfectly, but I can't burn it (tried at 6x) any suggestions?
