playback21 needs an UPDATE.....everyone please contribute.....:)

just got the us of ####topia.
playback 21 won't work even when fixed.

it is weird because i am RENTING the original, and the original will not work either!!!!!

playback is blacklisted, and we need an update, how can we do this.

does anybody know how to get in contact with CrazyCows, i can't find anything on any updated info.

the reason i know this is i installed the game on the laptop, without playback installed, and it worked.

i even went as far as REFORMATTING my system, and after installation, installed ####topia and it did indeed work.

strange, you make the call.

p.s. if you read this crazycowz, how about making it work under win 2k/xp.....drool.

thanks for your read,

sincerely,

chad

ok, i wish more people were interested in this, but here it goes.

along with ####topia, dune, and gangsters2 all use the updated safedisc2 version, which is not working with playbackup 2.1.

any ideas or where we need to go from here?

thanks again.

p.s., these are the usa releases of the games, for anybody that would like to know.

Maybe you give a try to Insektors. The new version supports Windows 9x/Me/2000/XP ...

Grab it at ####://go.to/insektors

cool thanks, thanks, thanks for that link!

now i just gotta go rent some safedisc 2 version 2 games to copy and mess with this.

confirmed: gangsters2, dune, ####topia

i hope this program works, but it is a pain to limit your game backups to a program that might not work in the future once it is discovered by macrovision.......

an example would be playbackup 2.1.

thanks again for your help, i would buy you a beer if you were here!

sincerely,

chad

COOL, insektors 1.1 does everything playbackup 2.1 does, only better.

better as meaning it is not blacklisted, yet, sure it will be soon, but for now,,,,,

use insektors on safedisc2 version 2, it works like a charm.

sorry to rain on the parade, but if you do what i told you in the previous post, then install daemon tools or playbackup, nothing will work.

this FU***** sucks.

nice to know that companies can get away with SEARCHING your harddrive, and that is what is happening here.

anybody a lawyer here?

gimme a break, the lady with the hot coffee on the lap from mcdonalds won, so can we.

this is not acceptable.

contact me please.
