Alone in the dark CD 1 errors!!!!!

OK i now know that the cds are not protected... but i've made a backup of cd 1,
and when i try 2 install off it i get an error.. something about STRING_ERROR or something like that and it stops installing on file reb_0045.wav...
This doesn't happen if i install off the original!?!?

It is not unheard of that blank cds are bad.
You should always verify the data written to any blank to ensure the cd is ok after burning.
