B&W cracks question that hasn't already been asked

Hi guys,
I need some tips from you about b&w. I searched this forum, but didn't find the information here. I'm sorry if I missed a post with the info (I see that the same questions get asked over and over again).

Question 1
I have an original CD of B&W (bought in the US). Is this the same as the UK version, or is there a separate US and UK version? The reason I ask is that under the cracks section off GCW's page, I see:
--Black & White v1.0 [ENGLISH] CD-Copy/Fixed EXE
--Black & White v1.0 [SPANISH] CD-Copy/Fixed EXE
--Black & White v1.0 [GERMAN] Fixed EXE
--Black & White v1.0 [US/UK] No-CD/Fixed EXE
--Black & White v1.0 [ALL] IP Security #####

The first item listed indicates [ENGLISH] while the 4th item listed indicates [US/UK]. I essentially want to know if the "Black & White v1.0 [ENGLISH] CD-Copy/Fixed EXE" will work on a US version of the game. I have seen threads here that indicate that the english fix will work on the dutch game, and that the German fix will work for a English version. I have heard no mention of a US version. So would the ENGLISH version work on a US release?

Question2
After I apply the CD-Copy fix and burn the backup, do I need to apply the "Black & White v1.0 [ALL] IP Security #####"? Or does the CD-Copy fix take care of this. I would assume running the IP reg patch would work fine after a backup burn since it is just a registry entry.

Question3
Does the "Black & White v1.0 [US/UK] No-CD/Fixed EXE" work with a backup created with the CD-Copy fix? Also, will the NO-CD fix work with the IP Security patch? Again, I assume it will since it is just a registry entry change.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and I am sorry if I missed threads discussing thes points. Thank you,
Hadrian

1. You can use the UK/US version EXE file.
2. The reg entry is enough to prevent B&W from sending infos.
3. Yes, it does.

You can also try to unwrap the EXE file from your original CD with UnSafeDisc2.

As a follow up for others who'll read this, it worked perfectly. Followed the instructions from the GCW "english" fix for my US release and all worked well. Also, the other 2 fixes worked fine afterwards as well, I just placed them in a directory with the patched game and wrote them all back up so the cracks would be on the CD.

Hi all!

I just bought BnW over the weekend and love it! My problem is when I create the backup, using the 3 patches, and then attempt the install it fails just before you are supposed to enter the CD key. No error message it just quits. I have an HP 7200i and am using Adaptec Easy CD 3.0 to burn with. Also I had some problems downloading the EXE file but did get it.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be great!

Thanx

I copied my original UK version of B&W to my HD and applied the NO CD patches for the English version and wrote out my backup.
When I run setup and click yes to install I get the message "Failed to load dll:E"
Any ideas

Per the instructions;

Create the following temporary directory:
TempDir : C:\TEMP\CD
Copy the full contents of the original CD to TempDir.
Extract the Patch Archive to TempDir.
Extract the Executable Archive to TempDir.
Extract the I6COMP.EXE from the I6Comp v0.2 archive to TempDir.
Execute BNW_UK.BAT from the TempDir to replace the game executable in the installation files.
The batch script will remove the obsolete files!
Burn the contents of TempDir to a CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.
Remove/Clear the TempDir.
Play the game!

I followed the instructions verbatim also as Spidey stated "also theres i think two buttons missing from the install options menu", which there are. I've doubled #####ed.

Something that I noticed also, when you execute the BNW_UK.BATthere are a large number of errors. I'll have to post those later today and let you know that they say. I've read that this is normal but I'll post them just in case.

I ran the patches just as discribed.
I #####ed my original and when I ran setup from it I got the same message.
Not sure, might have something to do with the game already being installed on my system

Ernie,

My post was not directed toward you, I applogize if you thought it was.

If you can install BnW on another system, you can verify you issue.

NeoRaZor

P.S. I still need help!!!

All I did was copy all files from Uk cd. Placed crack + key gen in there own folders, and then burnt it all to cd with Nero 5.
Works spot on.....
