Newbie Question

Just got my DVD Region X in the mail,I can't get this to load for anything.is there a trick to loading this! I have a PS2 Pal it is two weeks old,I don't know what version it is V4 or V5 how do you tell!

Boot with DVDRX
When the region numbers appear, press EJECT
Swap in your backup game
Press START on the controller
The backup game should boot

If it doesn't, then suspect the backup game or the modchip.

You di have a modchip, dont you? Or isn't it games you want to load?

I have a modchip but it is not installed yet.when i put in the DVDRX cd i don't get anything! I get Please insert a playstation or playstaion format disk.I wanted to watch a region 1 DVD moive on my Pal PS2.FYI i have the same PS2 version that Jack has SCPH 30004 R V5!

I think you need the latest version (dvd region x 2.something) for the R and latest V5 systems, the older ones will not work.
