tv screen black and white

please can you help me im having problems when i boot up with region x whin i do my tv goes black and white

You don't provide enough additional info.

1 Which PS2 do you have?
2 What modchip is fitted if any?
3 What does the DVD Region X CD say on it (NTSC or PAL)?

Anyway, it doesn't matter so long as the DVD or game that's loaded in behind it plays correctly. I can help you further if you supply the requested info.
