usb mod chip

well i just wrecked a ps2 tryin to install a mod chip....Has anybody tried the usb mod chip???(And only making 1 soldering connection)is it any good???the advertisment looks good..thangs for any input

The USB mod is easy to install theres no doubt about that it comes with one wire and you sodier it from one point to the other.On the other hand it's probanly the low man on the totum pole when it comes to modchips I'd say its like a Neo 2.1

Its more like a neo 2.0. There's nothing wrong with a usb mod, it just wont play dvdr backups without swap trick.

I won't recommend getting the USB mod chip, unless you are only going to play ps2 and ps cd backups...

when it comes to DVDr...forget it man....

I've used it and I regretted getting it in the first place, i've since changed to an internal mod and it plays all my cds and dvdr perfectly... True that i still need to swap, but its pretty simple
