Vampire Masquerade Greyed out....help!

I installed Vampire: the Masquerade from my backup copy, and now I have a BIG problem. When I leave the convent, the world is grey. COMPLETELY greyed out...I can't see anything! Even the character avatar at the bottom of the screen is greyed out.

So, I'm assuming that this game is copy-protected and requires a patch. Or is it something else?!

If anybody knows how to fix this, PLEASE HELP!

i made a backup of this game and the same thing happened,i dont think its because of protection because when i installed from the original disc it was still greyed out.its probably not compatible with your graphics card
