Hy everybody,

i'm in on Origa to.

You can see my config at the end. I´m burning my DVD with nero so far and my cdr´s with cdrwin. All is working fine with the normaly ar one switch:

DVD-R = Silent Hill 2 (PAL), Devil May Cry (PAL), GTA 3 (PAL), Code Veronika (PAL)
and all the CDR stuff.

Now I have made a backup of my MGS 2 US NTSC DVD and it didn`t work. It always hang in the black sreen before the Konami Logo must apear.

I`m using Fujifilm DVD-R and Pioneer DVD-R.

What do you think ?? Just a bad copy ?? Should I try again or is that normal for MSG 2 backups ???

Cool! Thanks jumpstart! I'll probably pick up a dvd-r as well but not yet. Price too steep for me. Maybe in a few months. I'll probably pick up the Pioneer cuz everyone seems to like it. Happy playing!

Hey do you mind to tell me where you got the DVDR from in HK and how much are they.

One more thing.... do you use DVDX or AR2/GS2?
Hello my name is Jeffrey and I'am looking for the Origa as well. Where can I order it and what will it cost?

Order it from Lik-sang.com (jeez, we're giving these guys lots of business!). It should cost about 40 bucks. They actually shipped to me in just a few days. Real quick response time!

jumpstart: according to origachip.com, there's something about the 3000x boards needing a swap even for the originals! We'll find out tomorrow as I grabbed some good new wire today but ran outta the soldering material! I was hoping to try it tonight! Oh well! I'll give you guys results tomorrow! **Stay Tuned**

Setup:

MGS2 is a problem everywhere on DVD-R. It has a very large TOC and, like Silent Hill which has/had problems with Origia, might not boot. Have you tried DVD Region X instead of AR2 as the boot disk? What version AR2 (exact) are you using?

Hi origa club,

I have recently adquired a pioneer a03 dvd writer and i'm looking for a ps2 that will let me play DVD games on dvd-r. I noticed everybody recommends the origa chip 1.25.

My question is what playstation should I get? US or JAP? What version of the chip and what version of the ps2?

Thanks for your time. I cant wait to burn my own games!!!

If you get a v5 PS2, origachip only support PAL PS2s.

You should now wait for the completionof their Origachip v2 development which is hopefully not much more than a couple of weeks away. Origa usually release on the date they announce.

This is the text of a message from Origa sent to a correspondent and published on another forum:

The situation of ORIGACHIP is this, the next week we can start again
the
sell of ORIGACHIPS... here the news:

ORIGACHIP PAL v.1.12 avaiable (complete SUPPORT of V5 board)
ORIGACHIP USA v.1.0 avaiable (no SUPPORT of V1-V2-V5 board at the
moment)
ORIGACHIP JAP v.1.25 avaiable (new version that can play DVDR)

Here the pricelist for the current ORIGACHIP.

1-9 pc. 35 USD (you can buy online)
10-29 pc. 30 USD (you can buy online)
30-49 pc. 25 EUR
50-99 pc. 23.20 EUR
100-199 pc. 22.20 EUR
200-499 pc. 20.66 EUR
500-999 pc. 18.08 EUR

If you buy over than 50 pc. we put online for free your banner like
"OFFICIAL RESELLER".

Info about ORIGACHIP 2.0 you can find online on ####://www.origachip.com/
When I have info about reseller and distributor marketing policy I contact you ASAP.
Probably we have news only for the middle of january, at the moment we want
finish the develope of the modchip, and than we procede with the sell.
