This could run forever. The one thing nobody has checked or been asked for is the Driver Version from the Configuration option in the Browser. So, I'll put out a call.

Remove the expansion bay cover, the screws are located on the top, along the edge of the bay area, if you have 2 screws it's a v4, 3 its a v5

My PS2 30001R is the same except it has a U11xxxxx SN. It has 8 screws in the bottom, Playstation Driver 1.10, and the expansion bay has 2 small gold screws on the top in the front at the edge which hold the connector in. Is this V4 or V5? I keep getting conflicting info. Can someone who knows for sure please let me know?

Ok then, with the v4 does the swap trick work with just a GS2 and no modchip? If so what ver of GS2 is needed? Also, I've heard about the mod to install a switch to open the tray for swapping. Does anyone have the schematic? I just don't think I want to mess with soldering all those tight spaces for the modchip.

If you are willing to take apart the PS2 and wire up a tray switch you may as well install a chip. Anyway swap trick methods are at www.ps2ownz.com.
