I made a backup without using clone cd. I did the following:
- Download the No-CD/Fixed-Exe from Gamecopyworld
- Install Deltaforce LW (Full Install)
- Copy all files but the two .pff-Files (dflw.pff and terrains.pff, the 2.5GB ones) to a tempdir on the hdd
- Copy the two .pff-Files from the game directory to the tempdir\dfsetup
- Truncate the last 200 MB of the .bik-File in tempdir\dfsetup
- Replace the .exe-Files with the ones from the crack archive

It's a little more work than with the cheap cd copy protections, but it seems to work. And it won't take you 8 hours as it would if you used clone cd.

I know its not a "perfect copy", but who cares? It works, and that's all that matters to me.

Hi,

ok the Sony CRX-140E or any other sony CAN'T burn SD2 protected correctly. Backups won't work, will always hang at startup.
NO, and I repeat NO,NO,NO,NO f***ing "wonder settings" will help you !!!!!! It won't work with Sony writers. Use a cr***, unS******* or buy a new burner.
OK, and now for all settings fetishists: You can leave ALL settings in CloneCD "OFF", except "close last....." and the copy will work 100%!!!!!! if your burner is capable of burning SD2 protection.
To make the readout faster you can check "skip errors..." and "don't report....", but it won't change the data, and won't help burning SD2 correctly. And once for all , people wrote it here on the board 1000000000x of times!!! : the SD2 protection DOENS'T USE SUBCHANNELS !!!!! So it is useless to enable them in CloneC*. Use the "search" link and read some more topics about SD2, before you post stupid settings, which only lead to more coasters and thrash !!!!!!
