copying no disk copies to disk...

I am new to came copyworld and many of the game instructions include files that replace the executable and make it so you dont need the disk.
Is it possible after applying that to your harddrive to select all the files and burn to a disk for backup. SO in the future you can simply copy from the disk to your drive and play the game or would the install procedure be skipped..
I apologize if this is not clear ,any help is appreciated.

I've tried this on lots of games and it's a gamble because some games run perfectly when this is done and some won't run at all.Don't ask me why cause i don't know.Best bet is to use cd rw's and then test them.At least you won't get loads of coasters if they won't work.Good look.

Well, some games install certain files in Windows system directory, change the registry, so sometimes, even if you have the fullest installation, you cannot copy it and skip the install process.
