With srep+4x4:lzma
Input - 34.604 GB ~ Output - 34.205 GB
It took 3h 27min where it usually takes around 1.5 hours. Even it struck at 21.2% for 2hours.
So, I redo it with no compression. Other higher compression takes too much preparation and installation time so avoided.
Installation works fine.

Game files are encrypted, that's why compression has no effect.

Was looking forward to making a decryptor when I saw this post so I decided to download the game and used the scanner and it found kraken streams.

Am I missing something?

Well got 30gb from a 40gb install and alls fine here as did this while ago and lost all games so redid it and installs in around 35 minutes or so which faster than the previosu one had.

And no name changing of the oo2core_8_win64.dll either so nothing wrong with that on Win10 x64 latest version running 32gb 3600mhz Ram and 6gb Oc GPU as well.

I don't know if using oodle 7 will give any results, but the game now have oodle 8....
Edit:- Works with oodle 7, compressed one file 'gameresources.resources'...
Overall input size: 354.78 MB

Please issue a fix right away! The folder of the game (listed as DOOM Eternal in your default, should be DOOMEternal) must not contain the space. The Eternal Mod Injector (vital for modding) requires this!

Also, I would strongly recommend removing the "Part Two" from the Ancient Gods logo, as currently both are available (hell, even straight in game files), so an installer containing the game will look strange with either a "Part One" or "Part Two" in the logo.
