No dvd swap 1500modchip Charlie !

Charlie help me i've almost got myself the same configuration as you i have an 1500 ps2 with the swap modchip and my origa chip arrives this week,
but you say that if you wanna play dvd copys you must swap with an japanese original well i've got gt3 japanese and i want to use that game for swapping to overcome the 650mb limit and for future use to play dvd copys but gt3 doesn't come out like the utility disc or tekken , how can you say that you can play dvdr copies just by swapping with an original japanese game.
it doesn't make sense, seems to me that you can't swap with an original dvd like gt3 causse it won't come and just normally boot out, have you ever played a dvd copy with this method ?

ANSWER: If your OrigaChip is 1.25, then it doesn't need to be a Jap Original according to the website which say it'll boot import originals. I can't confirm this until my 1.25 arrives and is installed. On my system (Origachip 1.11) it has to be a JAP DVD original to boot a DVD-R because it's the modchip.com chip that's booting the DVD-R.

ANSWER:GT3 JAP has a small TOC and will not be suitable for most DVD-R games. From what you describe, it seems that we have different modchips (disregarding the co-located Origa 1.1). With the modchip.com original chip, DVD games auto-eject just like CD games.
