Nightstalker/Charlie - help pls

hi, been reading some of you guys tips on booting DVD-R. sorry to trouble but i just need to confirm before buying an original DVD game. i'm new at this.

okay, i have a US PS2/NTSC, have both GS2 and AR2 (long story) and a USB mod (SBOX). have no problem playing PS2 CDR games. went back to the shop, guy said can only modify internal mod with a Japan PS2 to play DVDR games and i have to ##### in my US PS2.

do you think i'll be able to play DVDR games with my current setting (USB mod and GS2)? read that i need a big TOC dvd games to boot, can get my hands on MGS2 but not DMC demo. by the way, what's a card swap? pls help cos if not i have to spend a lot to get the Japan version to play DVDR. thanks in advance.

Do please search this forum under keywords NIGHTSTALKER DVD and within the past 15 days, his advice on the matter (incl. the card swap trick) will be found.

My advice is for you to consider the OrigaChip for US, which will play both DVDR backups (simple swap trick) or import originals (PAL or JAP in your case) no Swap (at least that's the case on my PS2).

If you can't get OtigaChip ( ####://www.origachip.com ) then change your USB mode for a NEO2.2. That'll do the job but won't play import originals.
