PSX Backup puzzle !

I am trying to backup TOCA World Touring Cars, using CDRWin and PPF-O-MATIC v2.0.I have successfully applied patch and successfully completed copy(according to end screen on CDRWin), but when loading game all i am getting is a crack info screen, and then the TOCA title page appears and the game freezes. I have tried various makes of cdr, I am thinnking it must be a duff patch or i should be altering the extract disc settings from default in CDRWin, especially error recovery and read retry count (using 10). Any of you pro's propared to help a frustrated beginner, i would be very greatful.

if your burner is 100% compatable with clonecd use this proggy if not make sure you have the correct patch and burn at 1x, i had the same problem when i copied tocca 3 (wtc), you just have to keep trying i done it eventually with clonecd,

the patch might be a dud. if your compatible with clone and your getting problems copying games with cdrwin, then "just clone it".
