Complete novice
Hi all, i suppose you have had many requests on here similar to mine. The fact is i am a complete newcomer to the world of computers. After spending a fortune on PSX games for my son, plus replacing damaged games, someone suggested making back-up copies. I have got clonecd and clonyxl ?? but don't know how to use them. I honestly have not got a clue what to do. I have been reading through the messages on this forum, but it's all double dutch to me. So if anyone can offer GENUINE assistance to an oldtimer at his wits ends, i would be most grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

two knocks against you Oldtimer, and LG drive and Adaptec software. My brother has and LG and has trouble backing up his games.
If you can't get a modded playstation or a chip to mod the one you have a PS-X-change2 disk will do the job, it's also called a boot disk, and like the name you'd have to boot up with this disk and then swap, boot disk out game disk in. |

first of all, whoever said read at 1x speed is crazy, unless you want to wait an hour just to read the damn thing!! your writer is fairly new so i would reccomend reading at 4x speed or 8x speed. if you have problems (because the cd is badly scratched) then read at 1x speed.
Second thing, you can use any media but, the psx laser might not read it so well and the game may freeze or skip on movie files. all cheap crappy cds are easy to spot, they are light green (dont mistake them with tdks because they are a darker green. green cds are weaker, and correct me if i am wrong but they always seem to lose their actual recording layer from the back of the cd, which is real bad! Good luck burning oldtimer |
