BOT is on a distinguished road
If you get that message then the patch is wrong for the version of game you have.
Patch it anyway and, of course, it won't work afterwards.

thank you for responding..im trying to copy crazy taxi amer for p2 japanese ive tried several patches none match the size of my bin file do you think its because crdwin is copying the image file two fast when i burn because it finishes real fast when i copy the image file so maybe it doesnt read the whole game.could this be why it doesnt match the patch.(note) im using the trial version of crdwin & clone is this still good to use

The trial version of CDRWin burns at 1x. You can't get slower than that.

You are simply patching a Jap game (I believe from your post) with a patch tailored for a PAL or NTSC-U/C game. The patch writers have encoded the intended file size as a check to ensure that you don't do what you are doing.

The patch suppliers say in their associated material what the patch serves.

I doubt that your modchip forces US backup games (it is possible though). It would almost vertainly play Jap backups and should play PAL backups. Who made the modchip?

well i got the chip from a store named J & L in manhattan (china town).after installing the chip the showed me that it works by putting in a copied game of tekken tag american..another question is what is pal the reason why i ask is because the patch that i choose was a ntsc to pal patch and the game im trying to burn on the front it reads ntsc u/c and has a blue bottom is that the right patch when i patch it it said patch successfull.so i really need to know if this is the right patch..im gonna try clone cd next and see what happens why does everyone use cdrwin to patch and not clone cd?

ANSWER: That's logical. But I'm reasonably sure (not knowing the chip) that it will play JAP and PAL backups.

another question is what is pal the reason why i ask is because the patch that i choose was a ntsc to pal patch and the game im trying to burn on the front it reads ntsc u/c and has a blue bottom is that the right patch when i patch it it said patch successfull.so i really need to know if this is the right patch..
ANSWER: PAL is the European 625 line TV standard. You must be nearly nuts choosing a patch that you don't know what it is for! You've made the result suitable for display on a PAL TV (that is if the patch actually works!).

im gonna try clone cd next and see what happens why does everyone use cdrwin to patch and not clone cd?
ANSWER: Clone CD copied games are a 1:1 copy of the original and in around 90% of cases, perhaps even higher, produces a result that will work without patching.
