chip detection how do i get through this
here is what i have going on. lately i have noticed a few newer 989 studio games which detect the chip (gameday 2002,nba shootout 2002).i have tried the ppf patches and the pal patches. my end result is once i extract the image and apply the patch says successful. but the burnt image when put in the machine is b&w plus rolls nonstop and still detects the chip!! so if there is something i am doing wrong or a fix please let me know greatly appreciated (tired of burning coasters!!)

Try Using a boot disc such as import player to turn off modchip dectection.. Its only a small nero image and can be found on megagames.com
You will have to keep the lid closed button on your console pressed pressed down so you can swap discs ( a spring or something ) |

Get the newer chip. To me its worth it. No patches or swaping. Plus I wasn't sure if you were running originals or backups. Doesn't matter. Less than 20 bucks and you save a lot of time and trouble.

pauld thank you for the heads up call!!! i downloaded the boot disk files but only found one to be of good use import player light was the only boot that worked with my nba shootout 2002! boot replay and import player both failed detected chip every time but import player light even though similar program to the other 2 did not. so once again thank you no need for new chip.
