Crazy Taxi - Driving me Crazy!!! - Plz Help

Hi, I'm having a nightmare backing up Crazy Taxi (UK PAL)
I am new to the PS2 scene, but have never had a problem using Clone cd for ANY psx title.
PS2 just keeps spinning the disk like a moped is revving up!!!
I have duplicated other existing backup PS2 disks, with no probs.
??Have I picked a bad game to start on??

Please Help- for my sanity!
PS2 - SCPH 30003 (UK PAL)
S-Box Modchip (USB)
NEC-NR7700A (Burner)
Clone CD / CDR Win / BlindWrite etc.etc (none help with C.Taxi)
Many Thanks....
Merry Xmas!!

Hi Kev1n,

I have a ps2 30003 v4, with a neo 2.2 fitted
I backed up crazy taxi PAL using cdrwin the game plays fine.
I am not sure a bout the usb mod you are using this could be a possible culprit "not sure".
But my guess is you laser needs slight adjustment to play all your PS2 backups.
I suggest 600 ohms or slightly over should be fine.
N.B do not adjust you dvd Pot just the laser.

hope you find this helpfull
Good luck and a merry xmas

Didn't realise I needed to do that!

The thing's brand new (but hey - never stopped me before!!)

I have used a mates backup disks to test the AR2 & Chip - they play fine, but your mail is interesting.

Did you have to adjust the laser to get reliable playback of CDR's??

Best regards..

Yes
Some psx backups would not load they just kept trying. You can hear the disk spinning very fast making a lot of noise but just not loading.

adjusting the laser to just over 600 ohms made them work fine.

You could try your backup disk on a mates ps2 and see if it loads ok on that.

best wishes adders
