PSx ModCD- how to switch to disc 2 ????

I have a ModCD (bootcd). For example when playing Metal gear solid, when its is time to switch to disc two I cant, even if i try to use the modcd first again. I even have played around with the lid utilly that fools the station to think the lid is down. In short

Anyone know how to play a 2 or more disc game using a ModCD??

Yeah, I just finished metal gear, good game. Here's how you do it. First, get a regular playstation disk. When it says to insert disk two, put the playstation game in, and hit start, it will sipn up, wait about 10 seconds, while the disk is still spinning, quickly swap the disc (shouldn't take more than 3 seconds) and it should work

i just bought a bootcd, so i am interested in this too. but won't the method of removing a spinning cd hurt the psx? the game won't work simply putting in the backed up copy of disk 2?
