patching F1 2000
Can any one help me. I am trying to patch F1 2000, but with no luck. i have the latest copy of cdrwin, an LG 8120b writer which is compatable with cdrwin. I have patch before but since buying the new writer i cant seem to do it. I can apply the patch fine, no probs but when i boot the game after the sony white screen nothing. Any help please would be very gratefully recieved. Any one want any coasters ? i seem to be collecting them at the moment.
cheers.. |

Contrary to what Goldenhawk claim, CDRWin is NOT compatible with that LG burner.
No one with that burner can use CDRWin successfully for copying PSX. Use CloneCD instead, it IS compatible with the 8120. |

You don't need to patch if you are using CloneCd unless the game has anti-mod chip protection on it. In which case you might as well forget that one until Goldenhawk get their act together.
These are the settings for Clonecd - Read Subchannel Data from Data Tracks ON Read Subchannel Data from Audio Tracks ON Write with option Don't repair subchanel data |

Thanks 4 all your help. i am unable to copy f1 2000 with cdclone as when it gets to 73% of reading the disc it hangs and the estimate time goes to unknown. i have also tried to copy spyro the dragon which seem to copy ok until i put in the psx and nothing, all i get is the white sony screen and thats it. Could this be to do with the speed & type cdr media i am using. Or can spyro year of the dragon not be copyied ? Any help again
cheers..... |

In the last 24 hours ive copyied around 30 PSX games some from allready burnt disks and some from originals...
What i found is on the allready burnt disks use full speed read and write in Clone CD but for the originals (for the originals that wont run or stuff up) copy them to youre hdd with clone CD at 16x or lower then burn them at half youre burners speed (4x seemd to work fine)....doing this made the 5 games that stuffed up for me work fine with no probs. |

Spyro 3 can only be copied with CloneCD.
If your F1 2000 hangs while reading it is probably too damaged to backup. Suggest you complain to Goldenhawk that CDRWin does not work correctly with your LG, if enough people do that they might finally realise they have failed somehow to support it correctly. |

ok danger and other people trying to use cdrwin with a LG8120
first of all i think cdrwin is a great program, i use it on my LG8080B without a problem, i myself in the past 8 weeks have been trying to cdrwin on my LG8120B without any success, i have written numerous letters to golden hawk about this program. And they keep replying that it is compatiable with the burner, which everyone who owns one, knows itis NOT compatiable. ok it does the .bin and .cue file perfect and it reads them 100% but when it comes to burning the psx games DONT BOTHER unless you want coaster my last count of coasters was 30. my last post was this ok here goes again - *by now everyone knows i have a LG 8120B burner ok *and they know i am very determined to get cdrwin to work on my computer right i have download the new aspi drivers i redownloaded the 3.8e cdrwin without a key (demo) i set it all up and burned a pc game - guess what it worked so then i burned lego racers - tried it on the psx - got the white screen with orange logo and it didnt move. so i then re copied the image but used the one on the burned cd checked the image for errors - no errors i then read the image - no errors i checked it in the cdrom to see what was on the cd all system files are there so why doesnt it play on the playstation, is there a setting somewhere i have forgotten to check or something No I HAVENT FORGOTTEN ANYTHING, IT IS QUITE SIMPLE CDRWIN 3.8e AND 4.0 ARENOT AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN ARENOT COMPATIABLE WITH THE LG8120B no matter what anyone from golden hawk say so i think it is about time we all wrote to them and told them, with enough feed back maybe then they will do something about it dolphin |
