make a archive with main game files..
make another archive with DLC

and do like this..

if all files are successfully installed then it is an internal error, not your fault. meaning it will be fixed.

Hi,

I finished all my archives but now I have 2 issues.
When I start setup.exe I have a setup.tmp error. It says that it can be in 'written' ?

The second one is when I press OK on that error the setup restart and then when I'm on the screen to select my components, I have only 4 selections shows but I configured for 12. Is there a limit for components we can use ?

Oh and if I add a music, Is there any way to turn it off by a button maybe ?

i face a strange problem when in the page (resources/archive)

when i fill the bin file name , and then click "add" it adds an empty row !
when i fill the empty row manually with details, i face later a problem in records while installing

today i try to add a row with already filled data (bin file name, output dir, disk no.) and then click add, so it adds an row filled with data, and not empty !

now records are works fine !

what was the problem ???

i even have tested to do the same with redist , but now i get an empty row !!!

PS: we need more languages, i hope that you add them soon !
also an option to auto open a support page after installation completed !

Is there a guide on how to use it? I mean do I compress the game using this too or do I use a compressor and which method's are supported

just click "add", then select the field you want to edit, then type text in it.
filling the boxes first and then pressin g add wont work!

at the field "primary folder" you may specify a folder containing game files.
the setup will compress them internaly. available options for internal compression algorythm is a box higher. it can do zip, lzma high/low etc.

blackbox also supports external archives. this can be compressed with a tool Razor12911 made. click here for the thread with download

external files are added like in this screenshot.
dont set the DISK parameter, if you dont split your installer on disks!

Hi guys,

I'm still trying to make an install with more than 4 components but it stays stuck at 4 as a limit to show. Does anyone know anything about that ? How could I do to have all the components I need to be able to select ?

Maybe, the installer only supports a maximum of only 4 components.

@razor jepp, cause the GUI is to small for more components to be listed.

we all want more, maybe horizontal listed too

What does the space in the purple box mean? i never specified that, nor is it right.



also i cant set the game size to under 1gb, my game currently is 552 mb big (see purple box again, no connection)

also blackbox uses the last used images again. its nice for the logo, but not good for the rest. but if you make projects saveble this problem fixes itself.

i also dont understand the redist. what to fill in, do i use {src} or {app} or nothing to specify the folder? you should make a dropdown for it, like razor did in his IC. this way noone can make something wrong.
