That's not true Dan I have no modchip and I have 50+ backups that play successfully using the tray switch method. With that said, unfortunately I too cannot get Klonoa to work using Gameshark 1.0 or 1.3 in my 1st Generation PS2.

Hi,

Sorry mate i didnt make much sense in my last post, to get a PS2 backup of Klonoa 2 to work you will need a Mod-chip of some sort, I dont know anyone who has booted this game using the swap method that you guys use.

Cheers

Warlock is on a distinguished road
Airlilpenny, Want some good advise?? Get someone to install a internal modchip or a neo key for you...timmy, if you are going to go through the trouble of wiring up a tray switch why not install a chip?? As far as the cog knife method, if you feel more comfortable with snaping the front drive cover off your PS2 and ramming a very small screwdriver into it to having a chip installed then go to www.ps2ownz.com and read the swap trick tutorials...LOL..The cheap way isn;t always the best way..LOL.. Buy a chip!..Good Luck.

Hi,

As Warlock says the cog/knife method is a messy affair. I wish i had never mentioned it now, it really makes sense to get a chip.

Check out www.playstationmods.com they have a list of chippers that will do the job for you if your not 2 hot with a soldering iron. I got one of the boys do do mine, and im well pleased with the out-come.

Cheers

Dal
