InstallerScript CI 8.5.7.4 by yener90 compression lzma


1. Install the game

2. Install the 1.1 + 1.2 + 1.4 + 1.5 + 1.6 + 1.7 Update Patch

3. Download the attachment, extract completely (wherever you want)

4. Open InstallerScript.iss


Edit the following lines, according to the installation directory of the game.

#define SourcePath "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War"

4. Save and compile


5. Will create two folders, Disk 1 and Disk 2 folder inside the "compiled":


Move to the Disk 1:

Autorun.inf
Setup.ico
Setup.ini
Setup.dll
Setup.cab
Setup.exe
Setup-1a.bin
Setup-1b.bin
Setup-1c.bin

Move to the Disk 2:

Setup-2a.bin
Setup-2b.bin
Redist Folder

Burn the contents of the folder to a DVD with the label you want.


Total Size:

Disk1 4.36 GB
Disk2 1.71 GB

The only flaw, that does not install "punkbuster" says it does not recognize the -q parameter. Any solution?

Although it is not absolutely necessary.


Time of compression ~ 35 minutes
Time of installation = 11,11 minutes

I'm not very experienced in this stuff and i can not find the string.


Another thing, I tried the game more thoroughly and saw that it does not work.

The game starts but is still in the main menu while selecting any mode.

After some testing I noticed that it is this voice that makes the difference:

"Installdrive = F: \"

I enclose the two log files and work.reg and dontwork.reg.


Can you fix these errors?


EDIT:

I've done other tests and I am not sure that is the key "InstallDrive," the game executable is unstable. Boh!

I go to sleep which is better. Goodnight.

NOTE: I removed that registry file > pakrat2k2

fixed, the installerscript to match what you had working. just replace the ISS script ( after removing -fixed from its name. )
You can view them both to see what I replaced to understand how it works better.

^ missing setup.dll, look at first post for files list for disk 1

Well done this and all works fine with all updates and lan fix working as well, installs in just over 8 mins and 2 x dvd5

Dvd1 - 4.36gb
Dvd2 - 1.75

Put all to oe dvd9 at 6.11gb all in all.....

I tried do this and it goes for 5 seconds and all get is setup file nothing else, can this be updated to UltraArc version as they go faster and can change DVD sizes in the ini file.

The attached file is updated to CIU version 3.0.0.1.b8.
