what do i need to backup

Hi everyone , ive just joined and i would like to know what i need to back up just the few of my ps 2 games i have so i dont have to use the originals all the time as they are expensive enough.Ive heard you need a pioneer AO3 dvd-r,can anyone tell me where the cheapest place to buy one is what burning software i need and exactly what dvd-r disks to use and where to get them at the best price. Thanx all.

Nero 5.5.6.4 or PrimoDVD for software.
