cd-rw backup

Can i use a cd-rw to test my backups before i burn them on a cd-r

Test them on what?
Playstations do not recognise re-writables.

so my only option is to burn them on a cd-r ok
i made 5 coasters alredy,i am using cdrwin 3.8a now to test another backup of f1 racing championship. do i have to format my cd-r before i burn it or let cdrwin take care of it.

CDRWin, with defaults only, should do the job.
Please post details of your hardware.

if you put them on cd-rw the only way you can test them is with ##### and it not the best way but if thay fail on ##### theres a good chance that will fail when you write them
