BOT is on a distinguished road
For any backup to work it is required that the Playstation have a mod chip.

What version of CloneCD are you using for this?
I upgraded to 3.0.2.3 as I could not find it in an earlier version, and its not there?

Specifically "Dont correct subchannel data=ON" - the rest are there.

Also, does this require an 80 minute CD or a normal 74 minute one?

the setting you talk about is on the write, not the read window. However not all cd writers support this function (it will be there but u will not beable to choose it) Use 80min - psx supports it fine

Try 2x read and 2x write with the settings given above. As I have said many times, whats the rush these things must be taken slowly especially ff9.

Xerox 'is' correct about write/read speeds, slow speeds usually means better burns. However with a good cd writer & good media, max speeds can be used. Try at a slow setting then gradually build up the speed for the next few copies to see if there are any problems. I burn at 8x & read at 32x with no problems and my writer isnt BURN proof
