The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing v1.1.05

Known issues:
The multiplayer game still has some issues. Please play it with a character created for the multiplayer only because data loss may occur sometimes.


Balance changes:
- Will-o-Wisps and Ornithopters are slightly nerfed.
- Monsters on the roof maps are slightly stronger.
- The Marquis of Soot is stronger and got some new friends.
- Igor’s range of the mine laying ability reduced.
- Some new chests added to the Industrial Port.
- Damage of Traps is scaled to Difficulty, the number of players and also as the story progresses.
- Losing Generator Capacity after a failed Siege may result in traps being destroyed randomly.
- Levels of Quests give appropriate Item rewards.
- "Point of no return" is removed from the game. You can go back to the first chapter after getting to Borgova.
- You can no longer farm for Ability Points through special conversation rewards like the Gluttoner Idol or Saffi's magic potion if you play in the Multiplayer game of someone else. You will receive such rewards only once.
- The inherent Magic Item Find bonus in Hardcore reduced.

Fixed bugs:
Multiplayer:
- Fixed a bug with the bossfight when the master died and respawned in town.
- Fixed some bugs with the game list window.
- Fixed bugs with the effects
- Made some improvements with the scripts.
- Made some optimizations in the network code.
- The amount of the XP received by killing a monster is individually calculated for each player. (I.e. killing a lower level monster with a higher level character can give XP for a lower level character on the same map.)
- The XP range has been removed. You receive the XP from the monster even if you are far away as long as you are on the same map.
- Made some countermeasures against the "file too old" bug. Backup creating checks if the previous save was correct and if it wasn't, it does not overwrite the proper game save with a broken one.
- Fixed a bug with the "Werewolf on the run" quest.
- When synchronizing with the Steam Cloud, if no appropriate save has found on the Cloud, the local version is moved to the Backup\Cloud folder.
- Synchronizing with the Steam Cloud is much safer.
- Fixed a random bug with the Multiplayer game list not showing any games even though there are available games.

General:
- Fixed a bug where the "Find the Engineer" quest got stuck.
- Fixed an issue with the experimental gate in the Abandoned Research Station.
- Spells reapply correctly when changing maps.
- Fixed a bug with the "Kill Fulmigati's General" quest.
- Fixed the spiders in the Worm's cave in the Orichalcum Mines scenario.
- Fixed a display inconsistency with Skill resets.
- Fixed an issue that caused monsters to attack during a cutscene.
- Fixed another issue where items could be dropped inside terrain objects.
- Fixed a recent bug with the one liners of the final boss.
- Fixed an issue with the Merchant in Croakwood.
- Fixed some localization issues with the Scenario mode.
- Fixed the Obsessed Alchemist hidden achievement.
- Fixed an issue with the Forge: you can no longer forge Trophies with more than 5 enchants.
- Fixed some consistency issues with the different Scenarios.
- Improved the AI of the Dreadknechts and the rats with rifles.
- Behemoths can no longer be knocked down.
- The chests give loot based on their own level.
- Fixed the 3% Life Steal for the 50 Mastery bonuses on the Occult Hunter tree.
- Fixed a missing localization string for the poodle of goo in the Rookery.
- Fixed an issue with the calculation of Mana Steal on the Character Sheet.
- Fixed a crash in the Forge window.
- Fixed the missing icon in the Achievement window for the Treasure Hunter DLC bonus.
- Fixed an issue with skill respec.
- Fixed an issue with the Ray of Destruction and switching skill sets.
- Fixed the additional levels of the Elemental Damage Skill.
- Fixed the progress window when you are invited to a bossfight in different resolutions.
- Fixed an item duplication bug with the Laboratory.
- Fixed an issue with the activation of the Mentor Perk.
- The Explosive Rounds powerup of Shoot no longer causes friendly fire.
- Some skill descriptions have been changed for better reflecting their actual effects.
- Rats in the Lair for the Clear the Tunnels quest fixed.
- The lag when changing to the Excalibur fixed.
- Fixed certain minor bonuses you could receive through conversations.
- When you leave the Secret Laboratory with the help of the Inventor the nighttime version of the Industrial Port becomes unavailable. At this point you will automatically fail "The orichalcum shipment" quest, if you haven't finished it yet.
- Fixed some issues with equipment models.

New features:
- Some new resolutions supported: 2048x1152, 2880x1620, 3200x1800 and 3840x2160.

Known issues:

Cost of inserting Essences into items rebalanced.

Fixed bugs:

Multiplayer:

Other players' icons are grayed out while they are on different maps.
Made some improvements to the movement prediction which should make "random teleportation" rarer.
The network code is much more optimized with less traffic. This lowers the network related lag.
Fixed a bug with synchronizing the enemy hitpoints.
Fixed an issue with the quest markers remaining over people's heads even though they have disappeared from the map.
The "Go Offline" and "Continue playing offline" functions were removed. You can only go offline if you are the server and noone has connected yet. (You can still exit and continue offline from the Main Menu of course.)
The floating text in the game is now displayed in the client's language, not the host's.
Fixed an issue that could cause the server to be stuck after cutscenes.
Unit throwing and knockback works properly in multiplayer.
Joining a game sets the town portal destination properly.
Frost mines are no longer treated as obstacle on clients.
Sound effects of skills are playing properly.
Quests no longer give XP for every character in the party, only once as it should.

General:

Sound of the Earthquake skill fixed.
Fixed a bug with the Gluttoner Idol in the Lost Place. (It gave the Ability Points twice.)
Fixed another issue with creating equipped items with higher level limits than the wielder.
Fixed an issue that could cause the Marquis of Soot to fall through the roof.
Fixed the Scholarly Ghost perk. Now it should be achievable.
Fixed the tooltip of the Fury skill's icon in the lower left corner.
Removed an exploit with Lady Katarina's shopping feature.
You can no longer sell unidentified items with the Sell All button.
Fixed an issue that could cause you to be teleported to the Lost Place even if you've already escaped once.
Fixed an issue with saves getting corrupted in case of powering down your computer while playing.
Quest items are no longer brought into Scenarios. (Don't worry, they will be there if you return to the Story mode!)
Fixed an issue with the Hidden Treasure quest. If you are already stuck with that quest, you can fix it with the "/FixQuest 1" command in the chat!
Ray of Destruction can no longer be used if you have less than 100 Mana.
Fixed an issue with trying to use spells from out of range. Now Van Helsing should always try to get in range and then cast the spell.

New features:

A new system of rewards for Scenarios is introduced. Killing monsters in a Scenario will now add to your Glory pool, which in turn will give you Glory points. You can spend these points on bonuses in several different areas. The Glory gathered and the bonuses bought are shared among all your characters.
Two new Scenarios are available: the Croakwood and the Rookery.
New shortcuts are added to Enchant/Use Laboratory ('E') and Disenchant ('D').
Damage Per Hit values now include the potential damage from Critical Hits scaled by your Critical Chance.
You can bind spells to the Left Mouse Button as well. These will only work if you click on a valid target or while holding down the Shift key, otherwise Van Helsing will try to move to the clicked position.

when the hell are the devs gonna fix this properly.... update almost every other day.

makes it impossible to do conversion with so many updates. might as well just leave it on HD for a few more weeks to see if updates taper off. Then i might do the conversion...

- Fixed a bug with Online Characters. The list does refresh properly when creating a new character and deleting a file wasn't permanent (saves were synchronized back from Cloud on startup).
- Spells with no cooldown don’t cast twice with one click (e.g. Earthquake).

- When activating the steam overlay, the game now pauses, if you are playing single player
- From now on, when Katarina kills a monster, you get the rage for the kill.

Fixed bugs:

Multiplayer

- If you join a multiplayer game, your progress will no longer be affected. From now on you can join
  to players regardless of their progress in the game. Of course you will still retain the gained
  experience, items and skills after you leave the game
- Some of the monsters started with the wrong animation when appearing. This has been fixed
- Ray of destruction and Sphere of timelessness no longer causes massive lag.
- Fixed a bug where some of the footstep effects didn't work correctly on the client side, and it

- Pressing the "Go online" button no longer removes the pause effect, only when someone actually

- Rusalkas will appear correctly in the second Lair siege.
- Using powerup with scattershot didn't count as a rage usage, so you got back the rage after a kill.
- Fixed a bug where the character could have less than 0 gold. Also, if you are already have negative
  gold, you can still respawn choosing a respawn option that is free.
- Bossfight related messages will now display in the language of the receiver not the host.
