Sorry for being a NOOB, but how do I use FreeARC to select and then compress required files! I am a complete NOOB and have no idea what I am doing. Is there a tutorial available with the basics on how to convert game from dvd9 to dvd5

hi maxgold

go to install directory select all files and folders expect Sound_bin_PC folder,video folder,Yeti.big

Right click select freearc => Add to archive.. and follow the instructions

Sample: Output archive: Data1.cab
Compression: No compression -m0
Make exe: Not checked

and Wait until its complete =)

Thankyou So Much for this, I have just tried it, Worked a CHARM! then I made Iso's, mounted them and Installed Game, also updated to 1.2 - I wasn't sure if anyone would respond, so Senseman I am most grateful for the time you took to do this. Kind Regards

MAXGOLD20, you could have also updated game to 1.2 THEN done the conversion, saved yourself 1 step from running update after conversion installation. But either way at least you got it done

Unfortunately,There was no sound at all.I have deleted all languages except French but it did not work.

Lang=en to Lang=it
(I think it's the same for others languages)
Open the setup.ini with notepad and save after changes

All is ok with Win7 64bit Service Pack 1

I did as you ,exactely, did but I leave only french and deleted all the other languages.The problem is there's no audio sound when playing the game except the intro.

Please.Should I remove or change anything to fix this problem???

hmm,interesting...go to "Game Options" and choose your language and subtitle.Hope this solves your problem

I went to "Game Options" and There's only English as audio language however I can choose any language for the subtitle.

I've installed that crap just for you and applied the conversion. Deleted every other language except french and english. I set up subtitle, sound to french in main menu, where senseman said.

Other languages were also selectible however you will not hear them because they were deleted.

Everything was fine during gameplay.

I did second run with only french, deleted also english and it was also ok.

You possibly deleted french files too.. Like i said i tested with deutch and no sound, like your situation with french.

Make sure you will have following files in Sound_bin_PC:

localized_French.sndbig
localized_French.sndbig.report
localized_French_stream.sndbig
localized_French_stream.sndbig.report
nonlocalized.sndbig
nonlocalized.sndbig.report
nonlocalized_strem.snbig
nonlocalized_strem.sndbig.report.

Thank you so much REVO to take the time and did the conversion again for me .
I have choosen the first option" Deleted every other language except french and english"
and it works 100%.

Thanks a lot senseman, but i still can't install latest dlc or any other update over the game.
Whein i launched the game it crash.
