So, you have to use internal compression. In installerScript.iss change:

SlicesPerDisk=3 to SlicesPerDisk=6.

Make the conversion.


DVD1: Setup1*.bin files; Autorun.exe; Autorun.inf; Data1.cab;Setup.cab;Setup.exe;Setup.ico; Setup.ini

DVD2: Setup2*.bin files

I think that's it.

BTW, I just finished the 4xDVD4 compilation (it took about 4 hours on my rig), and your installer works great. However, when I tried to uninstall the game from the Windows control panel, the uninstaller did not ran.

So I tried to run the app in \Rage\Uninstall\unins000.exe manually, and it does not open, i.e. when I double-click it nothing happens.

I also tried to run unins000.exe as administrator, but still I got no response. I have Windows 7 x64 SP1.

However, I guess I can use Revo uninstaller to uninstall the game, so that's not a big deal.

I just had a look in the Rage_One Language_v1.3.7z archive. There is no installerScript.iss file there. Do I need to download something else?

open ISS script & click on help > built-in documentation
goto index > DiskSliceSize

To optimally fill 8.5 GB (dual-layer) recordable DVDs, use:
SlicesPerDisk=5
DiskSliceSize=1708200000
Also make sure your uninstall files are not in game folder when you make conversion. Move them back once conversion has created your setup files, so you can uninstall original version.

No. Use compress.bat to make the conversion. Just follow the instructions in the first post.

But, i advise you, with external compression, will not fit on 2xDVD9... i think...
