The Gameshark is used to boot the backup. Original boots backup. If you create a backup of GS2 it won't work because you need an original GS2 to boot the backup GS2 anyway. So, if you want to fix the scratches on your disc: 1- take better care of it and 2- use car wax, wipe it over the entire cd, wait 10 seconds, wipe it off inside to out. It works, it's an old dj trick.

The data on the gameshark2 is pressed into the cd, no cdrw is capable of writing this data. This information has been posted in this forum time and time again.

So what is the best way to take out the Gameshark 2 CD 1 when it comes out spinning? Leave it or try to put my finger from the bottom to the cd real quick before it scratches up?

What do you do?

if no CD copying program can read the data, why don't all companies do the same so no CD's can be copied???

Guys, this board is behind if you dont know this one... gameshark is not endorsed by sony, meaning they dont have to share their tips on antipiracy... due to some legal action, and the sales of games due to gameshark, sony sells them the discs with bootsectors and the capability to press them

Gameshark 2 can NOT be copied and has not yet. Although some big guy s like gokun and sgt dan are working on it with the zip method. Anyone who says they have copied it is a dirty liar, and i would like you to explain how you did it, hehe
