Unable to play working PSX copies on modded PS2.
I had my PS2 modded, and I was going through my collection of copied PSX games on them... and some work on the PS2, and some don't. Does anyone know why this would happen? All the games work normally on my PSX.
Also, does anyone know how to use the "Enhanced Features" of the PSX driver on the PS2 with copied PSX games? Each time I try to use them, the game hangs on the PSX logo screen. |

I'm also having problems playing PSX games on my PS2. I just put in the SBOX thing, and ALL PAL games (which I rented and copied) and all downloaded games (no corrupted files) wouldn't work. Why is that? When they boot up, all you see is:
PLAYSTATONr SCEAtm No playstation symbol and none of that copyright crap. Did I have 2 extract that PAL games and Patch them 2 NTSC? And what about the downloaded games? Thanx |

Likewise dude. Just installed the NEO2 chip but have trashed most of my PS1 back-ups. My PS2 seems to like silver backed PS1 back-ups best but have yet to back-up PS2 to PS2 - any ideas?. Are we talking SCSI with CDCLONE or what? My IDE set up up makes mince of PS1 but has yet to get around PS2 -Used CDRWin, CDCLONE, Blind write but no good -Talk to me guys- My local sage says I must update me burner, he recommends the TDK Cyclone "Burn-proof" - What do you reckon?

I would'nt worry about that stuff,It has been known for quite a while now that some Original/Offical PSX games just won't work on the PS2 for some reason.
And that fact has been published in EGM/Gamepro's magazine's before, saying that the PS2 is'nt 100% backward compatable with all PSX games. So chances are It's the PS2's fault, and It probabley could'nt play the offical PSX games either, let alone those certain backups of those same games in your collection. So even though the PS2 is a good system,I don't recommend for anyone to go getting rid of their Original PSX's,since chances are afterwards they may be stuck without being able to play a small handfull of their favorite PSX games.(and backups!) |
