PS2 NEOKEY SBOX ModChip <-OPINIONS??

Anyone using this? Plugs into the USB port.
found at: ####://www.easybuy2000.com/

Is this any better or worse than the internal mod chips??

Thanks
Steve

the neo-key works ok, it's not compatable with most EA games and you still have to solder 1 wire. As far as which is better the neo-key or the chip i would have to say the chip is better.

I have custom Neo Keys that operate on a higher frequency and all you have to do to play EA games is hold R1 + O until it boots. I think they work fine.

liar... ea games do not work with a neokey because there are no pins attatched to the dvd chip, meaning the tray will not pop out if u hold reset. Higher frequency, does that even make sense? the neokey just pumps in the bootup code, thats all. It does not know when to turn off or on, which is why there is a switch

anyway if you cant solder go with neokey, simple install, the wire is not hard

The neokey IS a NEO2 chip, only difference is that its communicating via USB. That means only 1 wire to solder. Neokey does not play EA Sports backups. I own a NEO key for a couple of weeks now and I must say that I'm pleased. EVERY backup I make works fine, and all my old PSX stuff works great. I don't really like sportsgames so the EA thing doesn't bother me. O yeah, other EA titles will work on a Neokey like Quake III etc.
