I really, really need help; I'm at my wits end.

I am trying to patch psx games for backup I have cdrwin and it seems to work fine. however when I need to apply the patch I get a error message in the paradox program. thirdly when I go to the dos prompt I do not know how to get the c:\ prompt and I dont know how to find the directory in dos.
Is it possible to patch without the use of DOS. please can I get some guidance. I really need help here. Thanks in advance. BTW what are PAL and NTSC.

Warlock is on a distinguished road
Get ppf-o-matic from www.megagames.com to patch the cdrwin bin files, it's simple to use and you dont have to fool with dos.

ok i downloaded ppf o matic . these are the problems that are occuring when I get the file to patch this is how it comes up C: filename\filename.ppf
C: filenamefilename .bin. Is that right for it to come up twice? When I hit apply I get an error message
with a big red X and next to it it says E/A Fehler87. What does that mean? What Am I doing wrong?

right wot i would suggest to you is wipe off wot you have got and start again as there maybe somthing in wot you have already that is conflicting i may be wrong but it seems to work for me, as you know when you d/l this and d/l that in the end you have got so much that sods law something is bound to clash so wipe off and start again,
but it's up to you

good luck let us know how you get on

Hi kaispie,

Make sure the patch your using is the correct version of the game and also try other patches as not all work.

NTSC is american games.
PAL is european games.
