Cool X-COM: Enemy Unknown (2xDVD9 to 3xDVD5) *INNO SETUP*

X-COM: Enemy Unknown

Script: yener90 / Graphic Arts: REVOLUTION

*Setup supports these languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, French, Russian, Polish, Portuguese

History

V1.00 - First Release.

Install the game.

1. Go to game's installed folder and move:

AMD Dual Core Optimizer, VCRedist, Directx folders to Redist folder in DVD3. (Which is in conversion)

2. Download the attachment below. Open installerscript.iss with Unicode version of INNO and change the following line according to your game's installed location:

Code:
#define ProgramFiles "E:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\XCOM Enemy Unkown"
Save it and compile.

3. After compile, move:

-Setup.cab, Setup.exe, Setup.ini, Autorun.exe, Setup.ico to DVD1 folder;

-All Setup-1*.bin files to DVD1
-All Setup-2*.bin files to DVD2
-All Setup-3*.bin files to DVD3

5. Burn content to DVDs, and enjoy installer music pack during install.

I'm assuming it'll fit to 3DVD5s with lzma setting. If not try lzma/ultra64 and tell us the results.

Attached Files

I'm trying highest compression, if not will open another thread, since movies will be lower quality.

Removing biks its good idea the can stop running with black screen and crashes to windows
Better way is downgrade biks 720p 50-60% and you can fit on 1xDVD5 (1 audio lang)

Hi MartinezPL the bik i suggested that be removed is just 1080 biks that are included in the game if the game does not find the 1080 biks it uses the lower quality biks that are also included in the game so no need to recode. :-)

Removing 1080p is working well. If someone want to burn 2DVDs, here's the solution:

the conversion uses installed game files, so if you updated it then the converson will include that update

Has anyone tried it with the latest patch and Slingshot DLC? Does the conversion work when they're both installed?

It doesn't install any new reg keys that I know but it seems to add more folders to the "installation folder\xcomgame\dlc" folder upon installation. Lots of folders and files under that folder heading. I'm not sure if the inno setup routine copies the contents of the folders or specificly listed files that's why I asked. Anyone else tried this with the DLC packs installed?
