help needed for burning ps2 games

I've already posted a previous thread on this topic, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for as far as burning ps2 games. Mod-chip, gameshark2 1.3v I have. My friend let me borrow two games that he got from the internet that were " ripped " down ready to play. Star wars and rumble racing. Do you have to rip a game inorder to play a ps2 game. I tried cdr-win and clonecd, no luck. Anybody with an idea?

the only games that require ripping are dvd games. I backed up starwars starfighter without any problems using clone cd. Make sure your burner is 100% compatible. Also if you used a crack code to unlock cdrwin or clone cd both programs will burn coasters.Depending on your burner, firmware version and the type of cdr's you are using you should not have any problems backing up PS2 or PSX games with clone cd or cdrwin.

thanx for the info. I have no problems burning ps1 games, just ps2. The dvd games will be a while, the cost of a dvd burner is crazy. Oh I have a Yamaha 8x4x24 cdrw scsi with scsi card. Works great for ps1 games. I'll try Time Splitters and NHL 2001.
