First your US PSX is 115v and in Europe you may find 240v - so poof!
You are right about the TV formats. Except a lot of newer TVs have NTSC input as well. |

the 115v-240v is no problem I'll just use a transmittor.

I think a step down transformer would work better.
In the case of the TV you would need to look at it and see if it has the inputs for NTSC. The manual also comes in handy - you know the old saying - 'if all else fails, read the instructions'. You could also feed output of PSX into an NTSC compatible Video Recorder which are far more common. |

the only thing you're plugging into your TV are those three cables. so wouldnt it work if those cables fit?

Just try to play a NTSC game on your TV. If colors show up the right way without using a special RGB cable, your TV can handle the NTSC format.

Chris2000, yes it is possible!
Firstly, as BOT-CK mentioned you will require a step down transformer from 240vac to 110vac and this could be costly depending on where you get it, but if you ##### out www.maplin.co.uk and look for a product code NJ98, this converts the voltage for you and has a power rating of 30Watt's which should be more than man enought to run a USA PSX and is just £19.99 ($30.00 ish) according to their site. Secondly, the output TV format of you PSX is NTSC and as you already know the UK TV format is PAL, most modern UK TV's are NTSC compatable but it may be better to run through a video recorder as these are nearly all NTSC compatable these days. If you get stuck for with the NTSC to PAL conversion then you can always purchase a separate converter but these are pricey, arround £60 to £80. When you say you will be comming to Europe, will you be staying in one country or travelling arround as some european countries also differ slightly in the sound carrier that they use. This wont effect your gameplay, just in some countries you wont be able to hear it.
