NO. The Macrovision protection wont let you make
any illegal copy to VHS.
It's stupid to ask why!. So dont ask.

You can also get hold of inline (External) Macro-vision defeating boxes, most reputable electrical store's will have these units.

The box itself strips the sinc from the incomming signal and then re-inserts its own minus the Macro-vision protection!

Yeah I have one and it works but doesn't let you record. The recorded version is distorted still. They are coming out with a chip that will let you change the region setting and remove macrovision very soon. So be patient and you will get what you want. I have spent way to much money on impatience. So wait!

I dont understand y u lot cant copy DVD's onto video.
I have a PAL PS2 (model 30003) and just plugged it into the back of my Video. I used the lead that came with my PS2.

The picture is great (for VCR playback anyway) with no distortion, colouration etc.

The only problem I have is about 30mins into the DVD movie the lip sync goes, and I have to pause and then un-pause it to get everything sync up again.

This happens with every DVD I own (i have over 80), anyone else had this problem?
