Help with LG CED 8080B

I can't backup my psx games with LG CED 8080B re-Writer.I have tried Clone CD, Nero 5, and CDR Win. All make coasters. I have used Verbatim and Imation discs. If someone with the same writer is having any success could you please tell me which software you are using and what settings are applied. Any information greatly appreciated. Does anyone know if I'm able to backup psx with this writer. Audio and pc written ok.

I owned one of these and found that it only worked with TDK media when backing up PSX, a friend of mine also had exactly the same problem until he got some TDK's.

i have a new LG 8080b ,i have tried to copy both spyro 2 & 3 and both seems to copy fine but, when playing both games the hang when starting new levels of the game. So will this work using tdk cdrs then, or will i have the same probs. any help would ber gratefully recieved as at the mo im going through disks like tea bags.

Both Spyro 2 and 3 are protected, there is a patch available for Spyro 2 that works fine but Spyro 3 patches are all duff and the only way to get a backup of this one is to use CDClone.
