game patches not working

Hi i wonder if anyone could help me through with applying patches to PSX games i am using PPF-O-MATIC ver.2.0 for patching and despiting saying patch applied successifully when a burn the game on the cd it wont work i am in sydney australia ...could anyone help PLEASE ...thanks

P.S. I use an ACER CRW6432A 6x4x32 and use cdrwin ...i backedup some games without patches and worked fine and other games wouldn't work and thats when i tried to use a patch for them and still don't work.......SOMEONE help PLEASE

Mabye the patch you're using is not suited for the game version you have....(ntsc patch on a pal version??)

Your Acer may be one of the Philips based burners. Try this :-

Use Cdrwin to create a bin file and patch it as usual.
Get a copy of Fireburner.
Run it and select "visual cue burner"
Drag the cue file you made with Cdrwin into the pane.
Right click and select "burn/test burn"
Select TAO (not DAO - this is important).
Burn your cdr.

Let me know if this works.

I wonder if anyone could tell me where i can get some FIRMWARE for my acer CRW6432A 6X4X32... CD Clone it doesn't seem to let me activate the option where it lets u use subchannel and what ever
