Hai all,

I’m sorry that I must ask you. I have some hope that you cane help me.

I have tried to copy, I think a twenty times, some psx games, this all with no luck. Every time it copied, but in the player they come no further then the psx open screen.

Now have I seen that some games have to patch, I really don’t know that. So question one is, where can I download these patch programs and how does this work?

Further I used a creative CDRW 4424 with Nero 5.0.0.2. CloneCD and WinonCd, cloneCD didn’t support my creative cd-rw. I really don’t know what I do wrong (accept maybe the patch). Do you know how I can make a good working copy of my pcx games with my creative cdrw and Nero???

ik lees dat je van nederland bent,dat is gemakkelijk.je hebt cdrwin nodig,dit kan je op deze site downloaden.voor de patch erop te zetten moet je ppf- o- matic downloaden. en natuurlijk de patch van het bewuste spel.
alles wat je nodig hebt of hoe je het moet gebruiken kan je allemaal vinden op deze site.
ik ben ook maar een beginner,maar ik hoop je al iets verder te kunnen helpen.

ik zal proberen iets duidelijker te zijn.
open cdrwin,dan ga je Extract-disc/track/sectors
openen,laat alle settings zoals ze zijn,behalve
error recovery:ignore,data speed2x,audio speed 2x.
dan moet je bij image filename een naam ingeven,geef het de naam van het spel,maar zet het ergens waar je het goed kan terugvinden,ik maak meestal eerst een nieuwe map en daar zet ik het in.ok,start.
dan ga je nakijken of het spel een patch nodig heeft,op deze site kan je een database downloaden waar je kan zien of het spel beveiligd is of niet. zoja,dan gebruik je ppf-o-matic,dat wijst zichzelf aan. nu ga je het spel schrijven met cdrwin open record disc,load cuesheet schrijf max. 2x. en normaal zal het nu ok zijn.

Sorry Rob, but I think you have one of those Creatives that cannot make a working backup of any PSX game.

Hai All,

Thanks for your advises, but sorry it didn’t work. First of all CDRWIN didn’t write on my CDRW (Creative 4424) I can make an image file but when I go to burn I get 1% and after that the blue windows screen whit an error message.

With Nero 5.0 I have been one step further. First it didn’t go further than the Playstation loge and than hold. Now it past this screen but it hangs and I have a gray screen. It was a not protected game I want to copy (backup). Whit the program PSXCOPY 2000 I get the same result.

Maybe there is someone who can give me a good advice (accept to bye an other burner ))

ok just making sure: you have a mod chip, don't you.
if so it's probaly the burner like bot said

If its PS1 games, try adaptec easy CD creator.... it works for me

When using another program like nero make sure that you are trying to copy the cd you are copying it exactly... dont ##### the boxes like correct data or anything like that...

If those dont work.. make sure that your modchip works ok.. if you have one...
B warned that the mod plugs only work when they want to.......

4got 2 say,, if the game is copy protected. you will need a patch!

But if your writer is clone CD compatible, it copys the cd exactly copy protection and all.. then there is not need to patch.

ik heb de cd-rw ook gehad en daar heb ik veel problemen mee gehad.
Nu heb ik een niet te duur model van 5500 fr.(+-225 gulden) en nu gaat hij heel gemakkelijk.

Je moet wel een modchip in je psx zitten hebben hoor of je kan zoveel copieëren als je wolt en het zal niet gaan.
