DARK VOID (DVD9 to 1xDVD5 FULL All Languages) FREEARC+MSI CA

1) Make 'temp' folder

2) Copy all contents of DVD9 to 'temp'

3) Extract & overwrite 'Dark_Void_1xDVD5.7z' contents to 'temp'

4) Launch recompress.bat & wait...

5) Install the game from DVD9

6) Start FREEARC browse game's folder & select the following folders:

'episode2'
'episode3'

Output archive: DV_arc
Compression: Maximum (192mb decompression)
Make exe: Windows GUI: freearc.sfx

7) Move DV_arc.exe to 'temp'

8) Burn or make ISO with label name of your choice

DVD5 size 4.16 gb

Start Freearc and choose drive where game is installed. ( click on Letter C: )
then goto path shown in #1 below.

#1 - Path to folder, select output dir and filename x:\DV_arc ( dont add extension)
#2 - Select folders episode2, episode3. Then click on RED ADD button.
#3 - Check Compression box, set to maximum
#4 - Make self extracting EXE
#5 - Click OK, wait for it to finish



It'll add up total number of files & start comprssing it. Give it time.

Don't worry,the cabs re-compression type is the same as original ones (.Set CompressionType=MSZIP)

Allright, here's another one of my pretty inno conversions for the game, allowing it to fit on a dvd5. This one got a bit big because I included the game's manual (not on retail disc), so I've opted to host it on megaupload. As always, check the comments in the .iss file for pointers/etc.

peter's conversion works 100%
make sure you got enough free space on the drive you got your TEMP folder on...
...CAB compression uses space in your TEMP dir, not on the drive you launched recompress.bat!

kocoor24, Your not trying to use this conversion an the POLISH Version? It won't work so easy , because the PL version has only 824 files in the cabs, and not 879 as the English version. And if You use that bat file, your get an Error, because the Cablist.txt is not correct! (Error from mising files)

PS.: I've edited peterf1999 conversion, for MULTI 2 [PL/ENG] Version of the Game.
Changes were made in the cablist.txt, and recompress.bat, and replaced the msi.

Maybe peterf1999 can double check my changes, because it's my first attempt. In my case the conversion works.

The size of the carpet temp is 5.41gb and launch the recompress.bat and the size of the carpet is 331mb, in the window of MS-DOS i can read was ocurred a error.

The Conversion works only on this particular release of the game that peterf1999 uses. Other Releases have not exactly the same files in the cabs, or less files to be exact. By trying to re-cab the game it gave You an Error because the Files listed in Cabslist.txt from peter or not present in your case. I've haded exactly the same problem, and made changes for the PL version - see my previous post in this Thread.
