NFSU2: Can't use my Keyboard in the menu

I've just installed the 1.1 patch, because my NFSU sometimes crashes when I accept one of the drag races. After installation I ran the exe again and now i cant use my keyboard in the NFSU2 menu. Tried every patch available on the gamecopyworld.com site, but nothing works. I even uninstalled and installed it twice but I still cant use my keyboard. Pls help me.

Is this error occurs only when you use a cracked exe, or also when you use your original cd without crack?

Please check if you have any game controller (GamePad, Joystick) attached to your PC. Sometimes a "wrong configured" controller obstacle the keyboard.

it occurs with a cracked exe, but now I cant use my mouse either.

Ive no other connected conctrollers than mouse+keyboard...

But, I tried another keyboard and that didnt work..
Mouse works, but the thing is that I have to press enter at some point in the game and without the keyboard working (in the menu) I cant get further.

Does nobody know how to fix my/this problem??

Did anyone ever figure this one out?
I recently reinstalled NFSU2 and after a few weeks of normal playing I have the same problem as the TS.

So my problem did not occur after installing a patch, but the problem is the same: I can't use my keyboard in the game menus. When racing my keyboard works perfectly, it's just in the menus (shops, sponsors, options etc.) when it does work...

I don't think many people play this game anymore, but maybe someone had the same problem and remembers the solution?

well the simple (and yet unanswered) question rises...

does the same problem happen when using the original exe and original disk?

if so, then contact the game publisher for support..
if not, then try another crack or use the original exe and original disk (or a mini / maxi image.. might work too)..

I must admit that I do not own the original disk. I use a hacked version...

So you say that downloading another (hacked) version of the program might do the trick? I already tried re-installing the same version, but that didn't work. I will try your suggestion. I still think it's strange that this problem occurs, though. I didn't have any problem when I started playing...
