LMA Manager 2001 Special Degradeing Code

I recently rented LMA Manager 2001 from Blockbuster in Carlisle and it was brand new i then copyied it with clone cd and it was succesful
but when i played the game i saved but when i loaded my saved game up it went to the start of the season. I just bought a psx mag called play and in it it says lma man 2001 has got a new special degrading code which makes you lose matches get players sent off and stops you saving so please could you tell me were i could get something to stop this Please Reply

I dont have any problem saving my copy.
This may sound silly but if your not using a sony memory card try saving with one a lot of the newer games dont like any other memory card and just wont save to them.
