hey, i'm pretty new at all this stuff too, but i have found a pretty good proggie. i don't remember where i found it at, but it works wonders on standard games and other types of general CD burning. it's called PSXCopy. it is freeware too. i haven't found their site yet, but i think i found the software seaching from astalavista.com so you can try there. it's great software, you should try it. you can't patch the images from it yet tho. anyway, happy burning!

PSXCopy is NOT freeware.
The 2 programs to use are either CDRWin or CloneCD.

Well Sero for your information.
PSXCopy is commercial software, the home site does NOT have a trial/demo or whatever available for download.
The version you have is pirated!
As far as its usefullness for copying PSX games - a hammer and chisel does as good a job.

and why do i mind? it works for me, and it works very well for eveything i've copied except for a few specific games (wild arms 2(think i need a patch for that one) and tony hawk 2). and besides, i really haven't been able to find anything thing else that works on my POS computer. but any suggestions might be helpful.
