pioneer 103 ???

Hello. i think thats time for me to buy an dvd-burner. ihave read some of your posts and saw that all you guys have an pioneer a03! so my question is have anybody any experinece with other dvd-burners? beause the a03 may be very good. but it is a very expensive one. for exampleis it possible with an toshiba burner to copy dvds? whats is important. is it enough when the burner is compatible with:
Rewritable Single or Dual sided media
• single sided - 2.6GB
• dual sided - 5.2GB
• single sided - 4.7GB
• dual sided - 9.4GB
Reads DVD-ROM, DVD-R, and all CD-ROM Media ?? ihope you could help me please... because im not able to spend so much money for the pioneer drive...im just a poor little girl :-) ... i hope some of you would help me

I beleieve the key piece of info you need to determine from the supplier is whether the PrimoVD software works with it. Of xourse I do hope that someone with a Tosh DVR replies to make it certain that it has all the attributes needed to handle PS2 sectors.

thanks charlie... do one of you know with what burners primo dvd is compatible and what does it cost?

I only know of the Pioneer A03! I'd be fairly certain that it would run on any main brand DVR including Toshiba. In fact many comparative tests are carried out using PrimoDVD, covering Sanyo, Sony, Toshiba. I don't know prices other than for Pioneer A03 but it is something you can check up on the web yourself.

the size dvdr u mention
sounds like its other format of dvdwriter
#i know for sure standalone dvd players dont like them
not sur about ps2 but i wouldnt risk it
try www.cdrinfo.com
click haedware
have look c what dvd writer r reviewed there
